March 12, 2025 - Big Lakes Developmental Center, Inc. and the Big Lakes Foundation, Inc. announced today Elizabeth “Liz” Holle has been hired as the next President & CEO. Ms. Holle will replace Lori Feldkamp who is retiring after 30 years of service to Big Lakes. A transition plan will be implemented immediately and the process will be completed June 1, 2025.
Ms. Holle joined Big Lakes in 2007 as a Direct Support Professional in both day and residential services while attending Kansas State University. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in General Human Ecology, Liz was promoted to Case Manager and has steadily worked her way up through the organization holding such positions as Clay Center Services Director, Manhattan Day Services Director and has held the position Deputy Operations Officer since 2020. She will graduate from Louisiana State University with a Master’s degree in Non-Profit Management in May, 2025.

Her knowledge of the organization’s operations and extensive experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities will ensure a seamless transition. Under her leadership, I know Big Lakes will continue to grow and thrive.” said Lori.

Big Lakes provides supports and services to over 200 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Riley, Geary, Pottawatomie and Clay counties. Services include employment services, day activities, retirement services, residential supports, case management, health services, and transportation services.
